CHA Issue-Based Forum: CMS Requirement to Report AUR Data

There is no fee for this event.

Beginning January 1, 2024, CMS will require hospitals and health systems to report and analyze antimicrobial use and resistance data using the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) Antimicrobial Use and Resistance (AUR) module.  The measure, included in the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program, requires submission of both AU (antimicrobial utilization) as well as AR (antimicrobial resistance) data.  Details of the requirements can be found in the document linked here.

CHA is hosting an informational meeting for its members on September 13 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. via Zoom to discuss how your hospital/health system plans to meet this requirement, any barriers or challenges anticipated with compliance, and ways CHA can support members in meeting this new requirement.  

There is no fee to attend, but registration is required.  This meeting is open to all CHA members.
