Integrative medicine is the combination of mainstream medical approaches with complementary/alternative treatments for which there is good scientific evidence. There is growing data that food, movement, mind/body medicine and supplements play an important role in the treatment of pain, anxiety and depression; all of which increase the risk of substance use disorder.
