2022 Joint Commission, Accreditation, and Regulatory Update Location: Live Webinar, Presented at your Facility Fees:
Join CHA for this three-part virtual program on the 2022 accreditation and regulatory updates—including those from The Joint Commission and the National Patient Safety Goals. The first session will be presented by Lisa DiBlasi Moorehead, EdD, The Joint Commission’s Associate Nurse Executive. Dr. Moorehead will focus her presentation on lessons learned from the risks identified during hospital surveys conducted across the country, as well as in Connecticut, for the last three years. This presentation will also review new standards and areas of focus for 2022 and beyond, including workplace violence prevention and health equity. Sessions two and three will be presented by Diana Scott, Associate Vice President of Accreditation/Regulatory Services, Vizient, and John D. Maurer, Accreditation Advisor, Vizient. They will outline The Joint Commission’s new standards for 2022, the most challenging standards identified in 2021 and strategies for compliance. Additionally, they will review CMS focus areas and best practices for a successful survey. The intended audience includes all hospital and medical staff leaders involved in Joint Commission survey preparation: nurses, physicians, pharmacists, Joint Commission coordinators, quality improvement professionals, infection prevention specialists, human resource professionals, utilization & case managers, social workers, risk managers, corporate compliance officers, and in-house counsel.
