Connecticut will face the second worst nursing shortage in the nation by 2020 - second only to Alaska. In fact, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and other health professions are all experiencing shortages of qualified workers.

CHA has developed a series of focused recommendations for addressing this crisis, which will require coordinated leadership among healthcare providers, the education community, government, business leaders, and other partners to avert the looming crisis in care.
