Doris Kearns Goodwin, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, was the keynote speaker at CHA's 89th Annual Meeting on June 21, 2007.

gathered at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, Connecticut, to celebrate Connecticut hospitals’ accomplishments, discuss the challenges of the future, enjoy first-rate entertainment, and network with one another. The CHA Annual Meeting is the premier annual healthcare gathering in Connecticut, with hospital CEOs, physicians, and other key hospital and healthcare decision-makers in attendance.

The 89th CHA Annual Meeting, which was held on Thursday, June 21, 2007, featured the Association’s annual awards, including the Healthcare Heroes Awards, the Community Service Award, the John D. Thompson Award, and the prestigious T. Stewart Hamilton, M.D. Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes an individual for contributions to Connecticut healthcare and service to CHA. The meeting also featured a keynote address by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Doris Kearns Goodwin.
