careLearning

careLearning offers an extensive catalog of courses to nearly 170 hospitals nationwide who enroll their staff in courses including nursing, patient care, business management, and compliance.  More than 100,000 hospital employees are taking more than 1 million educational courses through careLearning.

When hospitals subscribe to careLearning's health and safety compliance series, they also receive a software-based administrative recordkeeping system.  The system allows hospitals to track professional licenses, licensure renewal and certificates for staff; store demographic information and print rosters, name badges, certificates, and mailing labels for educational events presented at the hospital; determine what careLearning courses are appropriate for an employee by department and job; and coordinate all e-learning activities.

Health and Safety Compliance Series

careLearning is a more efficient and cost-effective way to educate and document employee competency on annual 'mandatories.'  CHA, in conjunction with careLearning has developed an Internet-based solution to help you comply with the health and safety training required by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). These professionally produced modules feature lively animation and narration, and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Enrollment in the series provides each learner with access to 13 courses for one year. A learner management system is included, which allows for easy employee enrollment and reports on course completion. Automated post-tests for each course document mastery of the course content. Pre-tests allow learners to test out of a course.

The series, which is usually purchased by the healthcare organization and offered to its employees, includes 13 courses for one annual fee based on the number of employees enrolled: $10 per employee for the first 1,000 employees ($2,500 minimum required), $5 for each employee over 1,000. These prices are for institutions that are members of CHA. Nonmember prices are $5 more per employee.
